You will often hear that you should be your REAL, AUTHENTIC self online. I couldn’t agree more.
This does NOT mean you should reveal EVERY aspect of your personal life online. In fact, I discourage it. It means that you should be your true self as it relates to what you are trying to achieve online.
If you are in a mom-related business, stories about your kids may be relevant and endearing. If your market is not moms, they may be irrelevant, annoying and ultimately have the opposite effect.
When your inner voice asks you whether the communication you’re about to send out is relevant, entertain the question. You likely already know the answer.
