The focus of this seminar is our relationship with food and how it impacts our eating habits. Our beliefs and feelings about food are often deeply rooted in childhood memories or other core experiences. It is important to address the emotional and spiritual aspects of our lives in order to truly nourish ourselves. Combining the principles of nutritional awareness, personal growth, and body awareness, Making Peace with Food provides practical methods for redefining the role food plays in our lives. Many people have conflicting feelings around food rather than nourishing ones. Most of us are no longer sure what, when or how much is appropriate to eat.

This seminar addresses this challenge by encouraging us to observe how both our thoughts and food choices affect our bodies and emotions. It reveals how our attitude to food reflects our attitude to life itself. We will inquire into the spiritual hunger in all of us and if food can actually satiate this hunger. Making Peace with Food is about how to eat rather than what to eat. Students come away from the seminar with a transformed perspective on mind, body and soul nourishment.

Boasting over 400 pages for moms of all stages, the site also features a daily blog where Tanya shares thoughts & anecdotes as well as reviews on mom-relevant items & services.

Tanya is a strong believer in the power of social media, as it is through social media that she has grown her business to what it is today. She is beginning to share that knowledge with fellow entrepreneurs in order to help them grow their own businesses.

A passionate marketer to the core, Tanya also works as an independent marketing consultant, and was responsible for the marketing effort in bringing Starbucks to Quebec.   A branding fanatic, she helps businesses in establishing their corporate identity and identifying ways in which they can reach and satisfy the needs of their target market. Prior to becoming an independent consultant, she spent several years as Head of Marketing for Pizza Hut Quebec.

A WE² bit about Bronia:

This past January 2012, is a new beginning for me. After 14 years I have decided to leave a family run business. Primarily an administrator for apartment buildings and commercial stores, I was also involved in opening a chocolate store and a more recently a restaurant. Inspired by my artistic interests I created an art gallery in the restaurant, to give some local exposure to my artist friends.

While working part time for the family business and taking care of my three sons, I became the president of The Lamplighters Association for Childhood Cancer. Together with a board of 12 members, we raised over $100,000 per year for a period of seven years. All our fundraising efforts went to The Montreal Children’s Hospital, where my youngest son was successfully treated for cancer when he was only two and a half years old.

During this period I also organized an annual Christmas Party at The Montreal Children’s Hospital for children who had been treated for cancer over the previous 20 years. They and their immediate family members were invited to the second floor of the Children’s for a great afternoon with Santa giving out presents, entertainment and refreshments, all generously donated. We held the party at the hospital because we wanted to bring down the kids, from the oncology ward, who had to spend the holidays hospitalized. In all about 500 people got together for this memorable event.

Previous to that I worked as a marketing director of various Rehabilitation Centers, for intellectually and physically disabled adults, promoting the products made in the centers and procuring subcontracts from the Greater Montreal business community. My last job was the marketing director of a center, with three points of service, and a total of 250 clients needing subcontracts, on a daily basis, to be used as work training.

Today, with my combined 30 years of experience in social services and private business, I want to help people find their hidden market. Whether you are working in a non profit organization, are a professional, have a home based business or a product orientated enterprise, I can create a personalized market expansion strategy plan that will maximize your chances of success by expanding your market base.

As well as being a sculptor and painter, I have a degree in Applied Social Science and a Diploma in Institutional Administration from Concordia University.
