How often do your expectations “run you”?
Many of us set expectations in our business (ex.: expect success within 1 yr. of opening or expect to nail this contract, etc) or in life in general. When those expectations aren’t met, we often get frustrated, disappointed or we lose confidence in ourselves. This is due to our emotional attachment to the outcome of the expectation. Instead of learning and assessing what worked and what didn’t, we feel defeated, frustrated and don’t try something else. We let our emotions take over and “run us”.
